Replacement SKS Lock Cores and Keys
SKS stands for "Same Key System." These types of cores enable you to lock all your Yakima products with just one key. When replacing a core on your Yakima product, you may need a Control key to remove your existing unlocked core so you can transfer the core to a different Yakima product.
Please contact customer service at 888-925-4621, Option 2, from 7am-5pm Pacific Time M-F if you need to replace an older Yakima key (i.e. starts with a "0" not an "A").

Control Keys
The control key is "uncut" and is used only for the removal and installation of an unlocked SKS core. The Control Key will not unlock a lock core. In the past the Control Key was referred to as the "Gold Key" in our instructions. You will only need one Control Key for all your Yakima SKS cores.
