J-cradle style kayak carrier that fits to roundbars out of the box and/or select factory bars with the use of Mighty Mounts. Bow/stern tiedowns added in 2007.

-Maximizes crossbar space/carrying capacity.

-Supports boat on its side, where it is most rigid.

-Good for use with Plastic and Composite hulls.

-Comes with 1-pair of heavy duty tie-down straps and 1-pair bow/stern tiedowns.

History: No significant changes to mount other than a change of pad shape. Larger pad maximizes surface area contact and makes it easier to tie-down.

Q: What are the pads made of?
A: Base pad is Dynaflex and the upper pads are closed cell foam.

Q: Do I have to use bow/stern tie-downs?
A: Yes. B/S tiedowns are required with all Yakima boat products.

Q: Can I use MightyMounts?
A: Yes, but you also need the Bolt Upgrade Kit (8860007). To use MightyMounts, we suggest you refer to the instructions.

Q: Can I replace the pads on the bar?
A: Yes, replacement pads are designed to slip right over the mount with no disassembly required.

Q: How many boats can I carry?
A: One boat per set of HullRaisers.
