Works great on 2004 Ford F--150

Super fast and easy install. Price seems a little high for not including the bars but it does exactly what I need it to. I wanted an above the truck bed option to hold my cargo basket that has 2 bike mounts (non-Yakima), as well as a Yakima Highspeed for our 3rd bike. I like this setup because our dog kennels, cooler, and misc gear can be stowed under the bikes.
Great system for trucks

Easy to install and very highly functional. Looks great and the locking capability is fantastic. Carries bikes in style and very well. No issues with modern, very slack geo enduro and downhill bikes. However as a sidenote, the crossbars could stand to be a little thicker and heavier duty (slightly flexy even with the FL's as near the box side as possible), the rails on the Frontloader could be extended by a few inches to carry modern geo bikes with a little room to spare and the the rear locking straps could stand to be a little longer (my tires are 2.4") for a more secure rear locking position. That would make a nearly perfect system - well, perfect! But - it all works and I would point anyone with a truck in Yakima's direction for a Bedrock. Also, a recent experience with Yakima customer support was very pleasant and easy also an important consideration.
About Time! Yakima does it right!

Well now. I have been modifying roof racks to tiedown surfboards over my truck bed for years. I drag my beach house (5th wheel) around to various surf spots. I remove the rear crossbar to tow. Easyday. When I get there, I may have to drive north/south for the waves. Instead of trying to not ruin my board on the hitch in the bed, I can now tie down the boards OVER it! I quickly reinstall the rear bar, tiedown the boards and be gone. The plus is a cooler, beach chairs and whatever can stow in the bed under the boards. Seriously dakines. Get the Yakima Ripcord tiedowns and if someone really wants your gear, they can have it. The locks are Yakima tough! I will say that if you do go with the Bedrock you get the best of Yakima's design and quality. The cross bars are sold seperatly but the Bedrock already includes the endcaps. Bedrock is what I like...Cheehoo Yakima!
Great System for multi-taskers

This is a great product. My wife and I do a lot of camping and was finding it hard to carry all the gear for us plus friends and bikes. This system opens up the bed of my truck so much more. Bikes can be carried above the bed and leave the bed for all the gear. We carry max 3 bikes at once. And with 3 bikes inside the bed leave little room for our stuff. Great product Yakima. Keep up the great work.

Worked great so I could use my Skybox with my Ford F-250! Follow the instructions and do not force the bed rail clamps. The short adapters break when clamped down too hard!
The BedRock is very easy to install. I got it out of the box and onto my truck during my 1 hour lunch break and still had time to eat and commute back and forth from home to work.
The locking feature is very good. I can actually set large items in the bed of my truck under the bars and lock the tailgate, and everything is secure.
The best use I've found is adding a basket and having an effective 2nd level to your truck bed.
Overall, great product. Exactly what you'd expect from Yakima!
