Fantastic box for fishing if you can find it

I purchased my box 2020. It still looks new today (Oct, 2022) , no cracks, etc. It is permanently mounted to my Kayak trailer and I use it constantly to haul fishing rods and gear. It is a little narrower and not as high as many other boxes, but that is exactly what I looked for. The only problem is the pneumatic levers are worn out, but not worth replacing.
Highly recommend this box to anyone

      Great Space Case

This space case served my family so well on car trips. A family of four could camp and live out of the car on summer excursions, with plenty of room in the cabin. Worth it!

      Yakima Space Case

Im writing this review in 2021. I purchased a USED yakima space case cargo box. So this box is 20 years old. It looks to have held up well. The weather stripping was dried out so i replaced it. Its a big box. A bit on the heavy side. It fits on my minivan but that rear door hits it unless you modify. This model was made up until 2001. It's the largest box Yakima made. I bought mine for $150. It was not easy replacing the backside of that weather stripping I remove the top which was riveted. Then I had a friend help me put it back on with a rivet gun. Kind of a pain in the neck. Large box though. Find me a used one with a little TLC you can make it good. You would have to remove the old adhesive sticky mess. I used a sticker remover that I got from an auto parts store. Spray can.
