Simple, sturdy, & fast
Review by Chris Posted on May 19, 2015It was time to get a rack fitted to my current car (Subaru Legacy w/ a factory RR) and none of my existing Yakima or Thule gear would fit. I'll have to say I was a little apprehensive to go through getting set-up on a new rack system because they have always been so fiddly. I was shocked with how si...read moremple and sensible the FrontLoader was. I was able to pop it from the box (shipped fully assembled) and without a single screwdriver or allen wrench just drop it right onto the Subaru rack and lock it down. Wow. The only even slightly unusual aspect of the rack was that to accommodate the lift gate on my wagon we had to mount them "backwards" but I don't think that's any issue really.
Loading a bike is ridiculously easy and I love not having to fiddle with removing the front wheel. One tightened down it feels super-solid. The integrated cable locks with matching keys are a nice detail too.
I'm very satisfied with the frontloader. It mounts simply to the factory rack on my Lexus GX and supports both my 29R and my cyclocross bike, as well as my daughters little mtb.
Review by KasOnTheGo Posted on May 19, 2015I have three Frontloaders that I have owned for over 2 years. I use them for road bikes, a triathlon bike, and a comfort bike. It's not unusal for me to drive 4 hours in a weekend with bikes loaded. My only suggestion is there should be a replacement part for the triangular piece where the front tir...read moree goes..by the screw.

The rack holds the bikes very securely and you can travel at highway speeds with no risk or concerns.
My only point of concern is with the screw lock. After only two uses the screw has become very hard to turn, I almost couldn't get it off. I'm headed back to my dealer to discuss how to resolve the issue.
Secure bike holder
Review by Rikki Posted on May 19, 2015I carry expensive road bikes with wheel on on my BMW 3 series sedan. The. Front loader set up is secure and easy to install. Solid construction but heavy.
Simple to install, use and solid!
Review by Ash the Daily Commuter Posted on May 19, 2015We got a new 2014 Honda CRV and I needed to be able to carry the bike so I can communte into work after dropping kids off at school. This rack fit great and leaves plenty of room for the rear door without needing to mount backwards or anything. Super simple to load a bike and once locked in is very ...read moresolid. The integrated lock with matching key is a nice bit of polish that makes it all the better and easy to use.
Only con is that the strap for the rear tire is constantly folded over and in the way while trying to load and unload. Just don't need to be messing with little things like that when trying to load the bike overhead on a roof rack. Would be nice if it could pull back out of the way when needed. Extremely minor issue however and can be delt with. Other than that fantastic product.
