Review by Hump Posted on August 15, 2015The rack is very stable, the bikes barely show any sign of wiggle as you drive. I am very pleased with how fast it is to load and unload, and the position adjustment (stowed/operatiting) is also fast and easy. It has worked well with both my fatbike and road bike, as well as my kid's small BMX bikes...read more. It clears the hatch on my VW wagon, even with a roadbike on the outboard side. The only thing I have changed is adding star washers to the slider bolts for the wheel trays as the bolts can loosen, and adding fat straps. I'm very glad I purchased this instead of the competitor's version.
Okay but not as advertised
Review by Mick Posted on August 4, 2015Very well constructed and rides very stable .Takes a few minutes to get on and off but not to bad. We WERE very pleased with this rack until we tried to tilt the rack down to access the tailgate on our new van. It repeatedly says in all the literature and pictures that you can tilt the rack down ...read moreto access the tailgate!!! THIS IS NOT TRUE!! It tilts about 2 inches. There is NO way it even comes close to doing what is stated and shown in the pictures. If you need access to your tailgate do not purchase the Two Timer. Looked at the Holdup 1.25 and it was the same way. If Yakima engineers an adapter to put on my unit and sends me one I would then be pleased, but this false advertising has turned me away from giving this unit 5 stars. Again, well built and stable ride but does not do what we initially purchased it for.
